Following a 9 year Break from comedy Steffen Peddie returned to stand up 3 years ago and hasn’t stopped yet.

Prior to his time away Steffen had been performing for several years in the North of England. An original member of Newcastle Upon Tyne’s “Near The Knuckle” team with such luminaries as Anvil Springstein, Vladamir McTavish, Gavin Webster and Ross Noble, he brings a different approach to whatever venue he performs at.

With Ross Noble, the two wrote and performed sketches on ITV’s children’s Saturday Morning show Gimme 5 for a season as well as doing a health and fitness show called Burst! for ITV as well as numerous regional shows in the North East. Now back doing stand up he is one of the regular comperes at the Funny Bones chain of clubs in the North East as well as getting booked around the country as an act or as MC. From private parties to Biker rallies Steffen fits his act to make sure that it is accessible for all. He is the worlds first Fat Mime artist and received rave reviews for his “One and a Half Man Show” at the last Newcastle Comedy Festival

Comments overheard
“A fresh emerging Geordie talent”
Metro Newspaper

“He holds the audience's attention throughout and leaves the stage with me wanting more.”
BBC Tees' Karen Slater

“The Big Man of Northern Comedy”
Newcastle Evening Chronicle

“Steffen Peddie, the worlds Greatest Comedian, Wrestler, Scout Leader and fantasist of his generation”
Anvil Springstein

“The Geordie colossus was fighting well above his weight, drawing on his ample frame with delightfully shameless abandon. It was an obvious route to take, but Peddie's devil-may-care attitude freshened-up what could have been a very stale routine.”

“Confrontational comedy is a dangerous game, and needs a surefooted helmsman to avoid disaster. In Peddie it has found just that. Johnny Vegas may still hold the fat gags crown, but Peddie would make a worthy understudy.”
