April 2008 - Silver Fox, perth
April Night at the County Hotel in Perth was absolutely superb. Shazia the Headline Act was v. good - but the second guy was incredible. I guess I've seen 70/80 acts courtesy of Bruce over the years - he's up there in the top 5. Who is the f-ing person complaining about f-ing swearing ??!! Lighten up its an adults on live act!! Before you know it Bruce won't even be able to tell the Joke about the black one legged lesbian - who is incontinent and talks with a lisp!!! New venue (and new Mike!) - excellent beer's better and cheaper too!! Surely the best value entertainement there is!!.
April 2008 - Deborah Hackett, Stirling
First timer at Stirling last night (3 April) working on theory that laughter is the best medicine - it did cheer my friend & I up, so thanks to all. However, I agree with Frank's comment (March). Bruce, please tone down the foul language - I am no prude but your use of the "f "word shows laziness above all else.
Really enjoyed John Gillick once he got into his rhythm; also thought Shazia was excellent & felt sorry for her that she didn't get the reception she deserved - well done Shazia, 2 of us there thought your act well worth coming along to hear. We intend to come again in May & hope to bring some more friends now we've "tested" the water.
March 2008 - jamie, Blairgowrie/Perth
Comedians were great and the venue is quite good . The broken mic caused problems which would have been overcome if it was not for one arsehole heckler - why do people go to comedy shows to shout complete nonsense at the acts who are trying there best to perform. If i wasn't there with my missus I would have knocked him out!!
March 2008 - Frank Cullen, Stirling
1st timer at Tolbooth, Stirling last night courtesy of the lovely Susan ;) I enjoyed the night despite the small crowd. The comics were very good, great diversity...Sadly Bruce, I was disappointed a wee bit in your desperate attempt to get laughs... Beware of excessive untimely bad language, some comics make swearing sound funny, not you my friend. Concentrate on being funny and try not to overindulge with hecklers they can invariably fight back and bite you in the bum...Ring any bells?
That said, Ive told friends about it and I will definitely be back....
March 2008 - Pedro, Stirling
Bruce and Anvil rescued the night, which didn't start out too well, although the crowd didn't help AT ALL!
Anyhow, amazing night, especially the Geordie Scouse lad and Bruce's short insight into the Jacobites.
Thanks again Bruce for a great night, we'll try and bring along a better crowd the next time!!!
February 2008 - Nancy, Perth
Congrats to Bruce for organising such a fantastic night. The more-than-capacity audience got great value for money with three excellent acts - and Bruce of course! The first act was the best of the night, outshining the headliner. The New County Hotel is a much improved venue too. Roll on 7 March!
February 2008 - Nickki & Martyn, Dundee
Cant remember the names of the comedians (as per ususal) but what a great night once again :D
The middle guy - large newcastle guy, think he was called Stephan - was out of this world!
He's up there with Des Clarke and Gary & Stu Improv.
Keep up the good work and hopefully see you on 23rd in Perth for Jacobites.
November 2007 - Bob Tocher, Perth
Just had the absolute privilege and pleasure of having Bruce and Co stage a show at Tayside Police Club in Perth. You don't see many laughing policemen about these days, (cos we hide it so well), but honest to God you could have committed the crime of the Century and got away with it that night as so many of us were paralysed with laughter. It sums it up to say that we could have made a small fortune selling incontipads to the audience, (had someone had the foresight to bring any!). Brilliant and extremely professional show which I'm sure, will be repeated at the Club in the not too distant future.
November 2007 - Calum Scott, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Bruce
A big thanks for another great night of laughs out here in the United Arab Emirates. The first time you came over it was a terrific night. I can still hear the Corniche Social Club ringing with laughter. You, Vladimir MacTavish & Bruce Morton took the place apart with such talented comedy. Could it be repeated ? It was and Steven Dick drew us all in with his magic and great humour. Gary was special, he wasn't on long enough - we were stil wanting more. A clever and very funny guy. Last but no least "yersel" - pure dead brillaint ! When are you coming back out ?
November 2007 - Nicki, Dundee
Hi Bruce,
Just wanted to say both you and the Irish comics were fantastic this weekend.
See you on 8th Dec (think we're addicted to these now lol)
November 2007 - Stephen MacLaren/ Caledonian Society Dubai, Dubai, UAE
What a night. Bruce and his chums, Stephen and Garry were over in Dubai. Bruce is establishing himself "with friends" as a night well worth attending. Stephen, how did you do that trick with the Kiwi Fruit? :). Well done guys for a fabulous night again.
October 2007 - Phil Edwards, Dundee
another brilliant night was had at fat sams on the 6th. Excuse my ignorance for not remembering anyones names..but I have the memory of a goldfish. needless to say all 3 comedians were brilliant and I especially liked the guy from Dundee (no bias from me you understand lol). Hope to see a bigger crowd at the novenber night, COME ON..YOU KNOW YOU WANNA!! ;-)
October 2007 - Nancy, Perth
October was a great show - all good acts and a very funny compere - Susan Calman. Hope you're out of jail now, Bruce. The only downside was the sound quality and the temperature. The mikes/speakers are too loud for a small venue and it was freezing. The spotlights were shining right onto the performers' faces and, as well as blinding them, were probably very hot. So I reckon they turned off the heating for everyone else. Apart from that, a really good night.
September 2007 - rodger, birmingham
thanks!
August 2007 - Shaik Nbake, United Arab Emirates
Had a great time, love to have you back again, ShaikNbake@gmail.com
June 2007 - Geoffrey Pirie, Port pirie S A
Hi Paul
Never been to scotland .But my family name start there..All the best as a Comedian
June 2007 - Colin Nelson, Kuwait
Kuwait had not experienced such a night in over 10years. 125 guests packed my house in Kuwait City for the best night of comedy. Not only by Bruce Fummy but also Bruce Morton and Vladimer Mctavish. Bruce got us started with some history of himself that left the crowd in stiches. Folowed by 2 more fantastic Comedians. We can´t wait to have Bruce Back again sometime this year. Thanks to the 3 guys for there efforts. A fantastic night was had by all.
June 2007 - Andy Whyte, Dundee
The last show in June was the best by far. The best act geing the guy from London. Absolutley side splitting, another fantastic evening. Can't wait to see your act at the Fringe.
June 2007 - Catherine, Dubai
The Caledonian Society here in Dubai arranged a comedy night last week - other than having to translate sections to 4 English friends :) we had a great night - Mr. Fummy was an absolute giggle - we look forward to having them back here in Dubai.
June 2007 - Eileen Craig, Dubai
Hi there,
I was at the comedy night in Dubai too. We were not looking forward to the night as we were both hung over from the night before and had sworn to never touch the stuff again! Even sober it was a fantastic night. Bruce Morton in particular had me in stiches. I'm glad I'm not his ex-wife! Labia will never be the same. Mctavish was great too and Bruce Fummy lended the whole experience a slick edge. Well don guys and haste ye back!
June 2007 - Gail Donnelly, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I am the secretary for the Dubai Caledonian Society, and we recently had Bruce Fummey, Bruce Morton and Vladimir McTavish perform in the City of Gold.
All three were fantastic and the night was thoroughly enjoyed by all nationalities, not just the Scots, so much so that we are getting requests about when the next one is !!
Our thanks to all three comedians, and we hope to welcome many more in Dubai very soon.
June 2007 - Phil, dundee
great night once again, well done to fat sams for the new tables and chairs, great improvement very much appreciated. The comedians were once again very funny, i especially liked billy kirkwood who kicked off the evening, very unusual to see such a belter up first, it was like having 2 headliners imo. Susan was up next and she too was very funny followed by the headliner ian cognito, a very funny guy and a great end to the night....just a pity that was the last night until after the festival :(
June 2007 - Alan Norris aka Pornmeister, Stirling
Stirling, 31st May.
What an evening! Haven't laughed so much in years. Just as well I was wearing my incontinence pants :-((
June 2007 - Sandra Menoni, Dunblane
May 2007 Sirling - What a night! Fantastic - we all laughed till we cried. Each comedian was brilliant - Billy Kirkwood, Susan Calman and Ian Cognito - with very different styles of humour - we were sore laughing!
Bruce, as usual, was a fabulous compare/host. Can't wait till September!
April 2007 - Katherine Hicks, Escondido, San Diego, CA - USA
Hello Gents!
Love the pod-cast! Thank you for the laughs - PS Bruce looks lovely in his kilt on the website. More More More PodCasts please.
April 2007 - Nickki, Dundee
Funniest Night Ever!!!
Had never been to a comedy club before but will know to wear totally waterproof mascara next time - laughed till I cried! Looked like a member of Kiss by the end of the night! The comedians were fantastic and even now a week later we are all still coming out with some of the phrases and one-liners and we still all crack up. Will be buying my tickets to all the comedy gigs in Dundee from now on and hope all comedians are as good as these ones were on 7th April. Would recommend these comedy nights to everyone.
April 2007 - tesco , dundee
15 YEAR OLD SLAGS IN DUNDEE ARE HARD COME BY, WE ALL HAD A REAT NIGHT, WOULD HAVE BEEN HARD PUSHED TO FILL THE ROOM WITHOUT US, THANKS FIR THE COMMENT, IM SURE MY PARENTAS ARE VERY PROUD, LAUGHING IS GOOD, HENCE THE NAME-COMEDY""""CLUB:):):):)
April 2007 - Angela, Stirling
Wow Brucie Boy!... What fun can a girl have for £8?! You really put on a great show last night... and the Comedy Gig was good too! Not only were you full of energy and very funny but now we know how you handle a banana with one hand... yum! My congratulations go out to the wonderful and well selected three star comedians... no wonder you had to open the windows as the friction from laughing bellies could have started a fire! An excellent evening and I will definately be there next month... I will get my tickets early, having now met some of the animals in the audience, I don't want to be fighting them in the box office queue!! Hugs and kisses, your 12 hours early, Culloden winning, English fan x
March 2007 - janet, Perth
After my friend letting me down i have decided to go myself on the 6th April! i have always wanted to go. i hope its not too intimidating for a single lady! i would love to meet fellow comedy fans in Perth!looking forward to a good laugh. janeva66@aol.com
February 2007 - Nancy, Perth
Feb show was reeely reeely good. Not sure if the fact that Bruce was in Dubai had anything to do with it ........or just that all three comedians were excellent. Looking forward to March's show.
February 2007 - Pete Moulding, Stirling
What the hell happened?! Not only do we get two instead of three comedians but Bruce isn't there and we get some crazy, very wee lesbian as the compere.
AMAZING! The best by far. The compere was outstanding (sorry, I forget her name - she's the lady from Four Men and a Little Lady) and Paul Sinha was outstanding, more than making up for the fact that one comedian did not turn up. Every line by Paul had 3 or 4 jokes in it, and he built the atmosphere from something approaching miserable/insane (because of the crazy eccentric in the third row, you know who you are) to the best I have experienced.
To be chosen, as his man for the night was also impressive, although I did walk out redfaced from the embarrassment and the slaps from the bird.
Go see Paul Sinha - fantastic!!! Bruce, I thought you were good but you now have fantastic competition.
February 2007 - Karen, Perth
Another great night. All comedians were first class. Only thing that was missing was Bruce but Bill Dewar did a great job filling in!
February 2007 - phil, dundee
we got to fat sams at 8:40 and found there were no seats...stood for over 2 and a half hours...not good.
But it was another great night although i couldnt hear some of the gig due to the noisy crowd at the bar...u know who you are >:
great comedians this month, especially the headliner who had me in stitches (feel sorry for the poor guy stood at the bar LMAO).
January 2007 - David, Perth
First comedian aside, the January gig was one of the best. Gary Little and Shazia Mirza were both very good and very funny.
Getting used to Sportsters, and moving the stage in front of the DJ was a good move.
BUT YOU WILL NEED TO SORT OUT THE SOUND - it is really muddy. How about trying to turn off the speakers in the roof above the bar facing the stage. Honestly, the place is so full of speakers and club hi-tech kit, it MUST be possible to produce something better.
Looking forward to the Library gig - last year's was well worth it, and the different crowd from the normal monthly Friday night made it pretty funny too.
January 2007 - Nancy, Perth
Perth, January 2007
Really like the new venue though the accoustics make some of the voices a bit muffled, especially if they speak quickly.
All the comedians were great, especially Gary Little. Teddy could do with performing some less base material then he would really get the laughs he deserves. Shazia Mirza was funny too. And not to forget Bruce (even if we try really, really hard!!!), the effervescent compere, who was, as usual, Bruce!
January 2007 - ITS, Dundee
Was at Fat Sams on Saturday for my first Just Laugh and I can definitely say I'll be back again.
All three comedians were excellent but a special mention must go to Shazia Mirza who had our group in stitches right through her set.
All in all a great night only slightly let down by the 15 year old drunk slag in the front row. You know who you are. I'm sure your parents are very proud.
December 2006 - bertwilson, dundee
Yet another good night at just laugh and even better with what must have been biggest crowd yet.
Three completely different acts with completely different styles and a thoroughly able compere makes for a braw night out.
Get the acts to stand back at least two feet as we cannae see their faces--Bruce you stay where you were--hahahahah
SEE YOU NEXT MONTH
Have a good Christmas
December 2006 - Phil , Dundee
yup, i agree with Jimmy, another great night let down by the venue a bit...although we did get munchies on the tables this time ..WOOHOO!! lol
Des clarke was awesome by the way.. defo my favourite of the night. The reverend was hitting out with some very risky material but i think he pulled it off as the crowd got behind him by the end. and andy white was great aswell, a very funny guy.
December 2006 - Jimmy B, Dundee
Last night in Dundee was exellent. Andy White was particularly good. Sort out the lighting for the next time though, i couldn't see their faces AT ALL !!!
November 2006 - Keith Maddison, Sunderland
I have just found an old and dear friend on you web site, Reg Anderson (Gavin) I have known him for 36 years but I have not seen him since his 1994 tour of Europe, we were together and split up in Germany. I was hoping that he may read this or someone who runs the site can pass on my email to him. I am glad to Reg is doing well, I always knew he had Talent.
November 2006 - TJ, Dollar
Stirling 02/11/06. First time visitor to Just Laugh but sure it wont be the last. Excellent nights entertainment. Thanks to all concerned (leave Mary behind next time though eh ??!!)
November 2006 - Allan Phillips, Stirling
Went to the Stirling comedy club again last night on the 2nd November with four friends. It was packed out and was a great laugh as always. The three comedians were very different in style, but all were excellent, and all five of us had a great night out.
I'll be back again on the 30th November!
October 2006 - George Bruce, Dundee
My wife and i had a great laugh and a few drinks during and after your show. We will be back but can't predict when, but keep up the good work. (yer daying a grand job pal)
October 2006 - Penny , Dundee
Have just been to the second comedy night at Fat Sams in Dundee. The comedian Daliso Chaponda was absolutely fantastic, I would see him again in a shot! The other comedians were good also but not quite as consistent. It was a shame Daliso was not the headliner as he would have been a good note to end on. Some of the comedians focus on more ‘local’ comedy, which I guess is not to my taste as much. All that said it is a really good night out and I would highly recommend it!
October 2006 - Phil, Dundee
Just back from another great night at fat sams. These comedy nights are getting better and better, with 3 brilliant comedians i was laughing all night. First up was Graham Mackie whose experiences as a teacher almost had the place in tears at times. I especially liked Daliso Chaponda, a great comedian who had the whole place belly laughing. The headliner, David Kay, was another great act and his slooooow delivery had you laughing on its own...add to that his material and it was time to wipe away the tears again.
All in all a great night. But one piece of advice to anyone thinking of going to the next one.....arrive early if you want a good seat...or any seat come to mention it lol. And on that subject a "big up" to Bruce Fummey for running about at the last minutes before the gig getting extra seating organised.
a word to fat sams....get more seats, cos you know its just gonna get bigger and bigger ;)
So everyone come along, this has got to be the best thing in Dundee just now!!
September 2006 - Phil, Dundee
i was at fat sams last night for the first of many shows i will be attending and after the initial mix up with times (website stated doors open at 7 and show starts at 8 where in fact it was doors open at 8 and show starts at 9) we arrived at fat sams at seven to face locked doors and no information about what was going on...and we weren't the only ones in this predicament. But once the show got underway i was glad i went along. First up was Charlie ross who i'd never seen before and I thought was extremely funny, however he was blown (excuse the pun) out of the water by the second act (sorry can't remember his name) this guy had the place in stitches with his mix of magic and comedy, and i was nearly in tears many a time. I even thought he was funnier than the headliner who was just not my cup of tea, but then everyone has a different sense of humour so others may differ. All in all it was a great night and we liked it so much we even bought our tickets for the next show at the gig lol. I can't wait ;)
August 2006 - Rab Lyle, Dundee
A great night out.
July 2006 - stewart falconer, perth
Having just attended my umpteenth Perth gig on 7/7/06 - can I just say that the the third guy - the "headline act" - Bob Doolally - was the best I've seen. He made my stomach sore with laughing! We have seen some amazing comedians and the acts are nearly always hilarious. The standard is consistently high - then it somehow gets even better! I don't know how you can keep doing it - but well done bruce!! - nae bad for a fellow fat boy!
From: The Silver Fox.
June 2006 - Fiona, Dundee
Loved every minute. This was our first experience of 'Just Laugh' in Dundee and will certainly not be our last. Was an excellent night. Great value for money. Venue was superb too. Keep up the great work. Will be recommending this to everyone we know - well maybe not my grannie - some of the jokes would curl her hair - save on a perm right enough!
May 2006 - Martin Hay, Dundee
What a night, 3 great acts. Night was still a success despite Bruces absence
February 2006 - bertwilson, dundee
another great laugh at LONDON NIGHTCLUB,another great mix of comedians
even with a more intimate crowd
See you again next month

January 2006 - Moyra and David, perth
January show in Perth one of the best yet. 3 very different and very funny comedians. Watching an am-dram show will never ever be the same again.
As for Bruce, he gets better and better.
January 2006 - bertwilson, dundee
once again another great night
3 completely different comics all providing top laughs
great to see a good sized crowd in too
SPREAD THE WORD
Keep it up Bruce

December 2005 - David Black, Stirling
The December show in Stirling was one of the best yet - everything came together perfectly. Looking forward to January's show with Ian Cognito.
December 2005 - Keith Robson, Dundee
Went to london nightclub last saturday night (3rd Dec) with the wife and had a really good entertaining night, the compare was really funny and 2 out of the 4 acts that where on were really funny however 2 of the acts were quite poor and i found myself struggling to laugh at the irish comedian and the stundent, however the others more than made up for them so can't wait till next month when i will definatly be there and would recommend anyone else to do the same!!!!!!!!!!!
December 2005 - Darren McIntosh, Dundee
This was my first night at a comedy club of any sort, and one I had always promised myself to go to for ages!! Well, I got there with my mate before anyone else and thought...oh no this will be rubbish...As the drink started to flow, along with Bruce's close to the bone gags :-P , I had an absolute ball. It's been a while since I have laughed this much, and I can laugh as my friends will vow. Top night, real funny, will be back again!!! Tops recommendation. I even chatted to a couple of the comedians at the bar haha...you gotta mingle after all lolol........
December 2005 - stewart robertson, perth
A group of us attended Friday 2nd December 05 and were delighted with the fare on offer. We were all enthusing over the quality and quick fire humour and delivery of the the three comedians but for me and the group, the star of the show has got to be compere Bruce Fummey. His confident, sharp, topical, side splitting humour has to be seen and is easily worth the admission money alone. I'll be back In January for sure, and not only cos I won tickets for the next show. Cheers!
December 2005 - Suzy, Stirling
1st visit to this kinda thing on 1 Dec in Stirling. Had a great night - tears of laughter all round. Will deffy be back! Ricky Callan - I'll never be able to listen to Lionel Richie's "Hello" without screaming with laughter again cos of you ;-)
December 2005 - Traci, Falkirk
Was at the show in Stirling on 1st December and had a great time - will definitely come back - great value for money (apart from the bar prices - find a cheaper venue!!!)
November 2005 - Obie, Glasgowish
I Performed at Bruces gigs in Novemeber, and had a great time. Well run gigs. Keep up the good work Bruce.
The introductory music Bruce has for his gigs has to be the best about. Gets the audience up for it from the start.
Cheers Obie
November 2005 - Laura Davies, Aberdeen
We went to the comedy club in Aberdeen last week and had a fantastic time. The acts deserved a bigger audience. The young lad at the begining of the night was really funny but you could see the difference when the last guy came on. Mark Rough? was that his name? he was hilarious and had us in stitches.
Bruce was his usual funny self.
get yourselves along next month
October 2005 - bertwilson, dundee
one of the best nights yet
all 4 acts were great

July 2005 - Sarah, Australia
I unfortunately haven't been to one of the Just Laughs Comedy Club but I found this website through a Google Search for 'Scottish Comedians+Graeme'. You see, I travelled and worked in Scotland and during my time there I worked with Graeme Thomas doing Data Entry. It was soooooooooo boring! He was a very funny guy then and obviously other people have enjoyed soaking up his good humour.
Am really 'stoked' to see him doing well.....He is a great guy!
July 2005 - david, inverness

Thanks for coming this far north and west and hopefully you'll come again. July 2005 - Finlay, Stornoway
Excellent night in the Whalers, all 4 comedians were on top form, come back soon!
June 2005 - Dawn, Perth

what a great nite last nite haven't laughed so much in a long time will definatley be back. as for the idoit in the crowd he just added to the entertaiment . that's what you get for bringing in cheap vodka!!!!!!!!
May 2005 - Annabelle, Perth
Just home from a fantastic night - the comedians were great.
Just a shame there's always one idiot in the crowd - that guy in front of the bar should be totally mortified and embarrassed by his actions tonight. He obviously doesn't appreciate good comedy.
Bruce - keep up the good work, we'll certainly be back.
April 2005 - Arlene, Perth
Went to see Billy Connolly last nite and he is getting old and the material is just re hashed from previous gigs. Worth going, but the observational stuff the guys at Just Laughs use is side splitting... Think Billy should hang up his Max Wall outfit and retire.
April 2005 - John, Perth
Went to see Billy Connolly last nite.... It was a good show but I think Bruce's Just Laugh Comedy Club..... is better.....!!!
April 2005 - Alison Hyslop, Stirling
Bruce

April 2005 - Bill Dewar, Edinburgh
Always a pleasure to do the fantastic Perth gig, the audience at Perth are probably one of the best crowds in the UK. All held together beautifully by the very talented Mr Fummey. How about a regular gig in Aberdeen, Mr F?
March 2005 - Fiona McWilliams.... perth, perth

January 2005 - Faz, Perth
Perth has been crying out for this sort of thing for a while now and it caters for all ages. A fantastic opportunity where folk can mix, have a laugh (that's what they're paying for, right enough!) and where there's no bother.
Raymond Mearns was a class act and looking forward to Des McLean in a couple of months.
Been to two of the nights now and can see me being a monthly regular. Even my Granny and Granpaw want to come to the next one!!

Thought the club at Perth is great, see you next month! Anyone have the names of the 5 comedians performing?
December 2004 - Bruce Morton,
Just visited the webby and wanted to add my best wishes to the club and to offer a ton of respect to big Bruce F for what he has been putting together there. Neil, Vaq, Bill and I had a great time playing there in October and I'm looking forward to showing up again in March '05. The joint and the people who turn up there are generating lots of positive comment among all the comics.
