Blackford comedian Bruce Fummey continues to fly high as his Just Laugh shows keep selling out.
The monthly compere for Just Laugh's comedy shows, Bruce has managed to create events worth going to see month after month. Last Thursday the show made it's monthly appearance at the Tolbooth in Stirling and it was a brilliant night.
Bruce was hilarious as he tried to get members of the audience to join in with the act, although some were very reluctant.
Opening the night was Neil Dougan, a Belfast comic who has appeared on a string of TV shows in his native Ireland. Neil's delivery and his quiet gripes about the world and its inhabitants went down well with the Stirling crowd and really helped to get them in the mood for the rest of the evening.
Doing the first of two short spots was Tony Wilkes, who was a complete change of pace from both Bruce and Neil. His self-deprecating style of humour (particularly about his height but disproportionately short arms) won him a few laughs.
Next up was Colin Ramone, who regaled the crowd with his opinions on the poor, drug addicts and why they are the best people to buy things from. It was an in your face style of humour, but it fit into the bill and he left the stage to huge applause.
Bruce Morton headlined the evening and went down an absolute storm. His more adult sense of humour hit a chord with the audience, although sometimes his more crude jokes were the ones that went down the best. Telling stories about growing older and the problems a "rough round the edges" Scotsman faces when he moves down to the south of England, Bruce Morton definitely deserved his place as headliner of the evening.
Just Laugh takes place in Stirling on the first Thursday of the month at the Tolbooth and the first Friday of the month at Bliss & Envy Nightclub in Perth.
Bruce Fummey will also be performing his one man show "The Greek, The Apple and The Time Machine" at the AK Bell Theatre in Perth on Friday October 21 and the Tolbooth on 12th November.
